Auckland City, New Zealand

Hi friends, I am Chirag Malhotra and welcome to my blog Travel with CM. Hope you guys are doing absolutely fine. Today I am going to show you guys some glimpse of my visit to a beautiful city Auckland.
Auckland is New Zealand's largest city and main transport hub. Imagine an urban environment where everyone lives within half an hour of beautiful beaches, hiking trails and a dozen enchanting holiday islands. Auckland’s diverse landscapes provide countless opportunities to get immersed in nature. New Zealand's Auckland region is dotted with 48 volcanic cones, which provide spectacular panoramic views of the city and harbor.

Auckland's Sky Tower is the tallest structure in the Southern Hemisphere, this tower is more than 300 meters high. Offering stunning views, along with award winning restaurants, a gift shop and an opportunity to push your limits by walking the outside of the viewing platforms, or by jumping off from 192 meters above Auckland's CBD. More than just a city, Auckland is a whole region full of things to see and do.

The Viaduct Harbor lies within the middle of Auckland CBD and is home to gourmet restaurants, lively bars and buzzing night life. Go jet boating, join a sailing charter or enjoy a relaxing harbor cruise. Regardless of where you dine, you can count on being seated overlooking the water and surrounding activity, while sipping on a fine wine and enjoying mouth-watering dishes. Great views of the waterfront and a superb place for fishing. Just cast your rod out and sit back and enjoy the views. I visited here during sun set which gives the majestic feeling of the bridge.

From Big wheel, you can see Auckland harbor bridge, especially at the night time, that harbor bridge LED lights on, it is very beautiful. Its the first bridge that LED lights is totally powered by solar energy. You can throw the bread to feed the birds here as well. Its quite peaceful place and gives decent views.

Auckland is a shopaholic's paradise, with everything from top-end designers to open air street markets. Discover the diverse range of cafes and restaurants offering cuisine from around the globe and check out the buzzing nightlife of the central city.

Bangla Sahib Gurudwara New Delhi

Gurudwara Bangla Sahib is one of the most famous sikh gurudwara, situated on Baba Kharak Singh Marg in the heart of Delhi - Connaught Place. The Gurudwara bangla sahib is instantly noticeable by its marble structure, the golden dome and Nishan Sahib. This golden domed gurudwara is visited by people of various religions, races, and nationalities. It is known after the eighth sikh guru, Guru Har Krishan Sahib ji.

The grounds include the Gurudwara, a kitchen, a large (holy) pond, a school and an art gallery. It has a multi-storey vehicle-parking facility, cool drinking water facility, and clean public washrooms, on its campus. There is a museum and art gallery where excellent pictures have been placed displaying the history of Sikhism and their gurus.

There are some tips for trvellers like:
- Keep your head covered with any scarf, dupatta, saree-pallu, or handkerchief when present inside the complex.
- Shoes are forbidden on the gurudwara campus. Leave them on a shoe rack available at shoe-counter, near its entrance.
- Wear clothes that aren’t supposedly revealing or indecent.
- Photography is prohibited within the gurudwara.
- Maintain silence when you are venturing inside.

A basket containing head-scarves is placed near its entry point. Visitors can pick up and return back these scarves without paying a fee. Inside the complex, a detailed white marble work is done in the entire place. Bangla Sahib looks really beautiful from a distance with a perfect combination of white building and Golden dome. The structure is huge and it can take half day to see the entire place in one go.

There are lot of things to do in the gurudwara like.
- Attend the prayer sessions conducted inside, to gain spiritual experience.
- Book a room of your choice in the ‘Yatri Niwas’, for an extended stay.
- Get Karah (Holy) Prasad for yourself and your family.
- Eat langar with other visitors, in its dining hall. The langar’s menu includes chapaati, vegetable-based curry, dal, and kheer.
- You can volunteer to clean campus floors, serve in the kitchen, or take care of visitors’ shoes near the gate counter.
- Learn about various historical events of Sikhism by visiting the Baba Baghel Singh Museum & Art Gallery.
- Tour its Khalsa Girl’s School and operational basement hospital.
- Enjoy the surreal beauty of its on-campus ‘Sarovar’ during sunrise and sunset time.

As practiced in all Gurudwaras all over the world, here too Langar (holy vegetarian food) is practised.  Langar is served to hundreds of people every 20 minutes. The Langar (food) is prepared by gursikhs who work there and also by volunteers who like to help out. Langar Hours: Only vegetarian food is served. Timings are tentatively from 9AM to 3PM & 7PM to 10PM.

On can easily reach the gurudwara through metro, cab or any other local transport system. There are multiple mode of transport which you can take to reach here like Shivaji Stadium metro station (its Airport Express line), Rajiv Chowk metro, and Patel Chowk metro are the closest metro stations. However, you can take a stroll or a vehicle to reach this place from the metro stations. The ‘New Delhi Railway station’ is the only railway station nearest to it. Personally to me, Gurudwara Bangla Sahib is such a place which gives me peace and it is the place where I can sit for long hours listening to the Shabads/Kirtan

I made a video Vlog of my visit. Check out the video below:

Scotland Day Tour Experience

Scotland is a beautiful country which is a part of United Kingdom. I was staying in Glasgow UK and wanted to explore the beauty of Scotland and its nature. I googled to find the best options available online for exploring some places in Scotland. I found a website called www.visitscotland.com which offers guided bus tours to multiple locations under reasonable cost. I called them up and asked the details regarding various tours organized by them.

If you are booking with them online, then you have to share your debit or credit card details with them for processing advance payment. Initially, I was little nervous to share the details, but then I again called them up and shared my banking details. I can assure you that they do not make misuse of your banking details. After booking with them online, I received 2 emails from them. One of them provided the details of my booking like reference number, their contact details, your details, journey and booking details. The other email was to share the receipt of the payment made by me. They provide pick up and drop facilities from certain defined locations. You can choose the pickup location and board the bus from your hotel or city center nearby.

Taking a guided bus tour in Scotland is an excellent way to have a sight-seeing. Most of Scotland's cities provide sightseeing guided bus tours through which you can explore the city. I booked a one day coach tour which costs me around 42 Great Britain Pounds. The journey I booked covers places like Oban, Western Highlands, Lochs, Castles,, and Glencoe. The bus picked me up from my hotel "Premier Inn Pacific Quay Glasgow around 8:20am. I was the first person to board the coach and have the freedom to choose any seat I want to have spectacular views. The coach was really nice and fully air conditioned. The best part was that the driver of the coach was our tour guide and he was dressed up in traditional Scottish apparel. Check out my picture with him.

As the journey started, the guide starts explaining about the places we were crossing by and some stories related to the history of such places. There were around 40 plus people on my bus and I was happy that some of them were Indians. I saw very beautiful views from my bus and the guide stops the bus at various picturesque spots. The views were really beautiful and amazing. You can experience the mountains, river, trees, animals, fog, rain, etc together in this tour. I was so excited and happy that I went to this beautiful tour.

I can's explain you the beauty of nature I was experiencing that time. The coach was stopped at multiple spots to cover some sight seen, castles, river banks, and parks. It was around 6-7 degree on that day and it was drizzling as well. We covered three beautiful castles including Castle Stalker, Inveraray Castle and Kilchurn Castle with the live commentary from the bus guide. The booking does not include payment for the entrance fees of castles, food, and drinks, so you have to take care of that yourself.

I must say that the driver guide was really helpful, entertaining and knowledgeable. The tour took us to the best spots and driver gave us plenty of time to click pictures and experience the surroundings. This day trip to the highlands was really breathtaking and so beautiful. It was a day full of wonderful views and would like to go again for this kind of tours. I would surely recommend you to have these bus tours to experience the views which you can only imagine in dreams.

I tried to capture some views of my tour for my viewers. You can check out my Vlog video below for full sightseeing of this Scotland visit.
